Some organizations also have a CCB that focuses on specific configuration changes such as firewall and port configurations. The CCB is aided by the release coordination function, which is responsible for managing the change calendar. A subset of the CAB, the emergency change advisory board (ECAB), is sometimes used to make decisions about clear-cut, high impact emergency changes. Membership of the ECAB may be decided at the time a meeting is called, and depends on the nature of the emergency change. |
